I am at the World Baton Twirling Federation, International Cup. This is the world baton event with some 15 countries. Even though my daughter didn’t make the cut this year, she got to carry the sign for australia during the closing ceremonies.

The quality and professionalism of all of the teams and individual competitors is first rate. The enthusiasm of the audience is quite exciting thing to see. It is a wonder that the USA discounts such an ardous sport. It combines the grace of dance, the complexity and atheliticism of gymnastics and all while juggling one, two or even three batons.
